Watermelon Seed (Citrullus vulgaris) Carrier Oil - Aromatherapy - Therapeutic Quality 8 fl oz (227 ml)

Description: Particularly common in West Africa, where it is also called Ootanga oil or Kalahari oil, dried Watermelon seeds are compressed in order to extract this oil. Watermelon seed oil is one of the few great carrier oils that really penetrates deeply, to rejuvenate and create healthy glowing skin. By expanding pores, and extracting sebum, grease, and oils, Watermelon is an excellent choice of carrier oil for all types of skin: oily, dry, and acne-prone skin. Water soluble properties make this oil particularly skin-absorbent.

Containing powerful antioxidants, Watermelon seeds help to slow the aging process by developing youthful elasticity in the skin and repairing DNA damage—great for wrinkles. The high content of omega acids and Linoleic acid within the oil assists in the removal of excess sebum within the skin. Watermelon seed oil contains high amounts of unsaturated fatty acids, with linoleic and oleic acids as the major acids.

Face Mask for Acne: Mix watermelon seeds and a small amount of water in a food processor to create a paste, and then add lemon juice. This face mask works wonders for acne.

Hair: A non-greasy oil, Watermelon seed oil creates a wonderful, lustrous shine. The antioxidants in watermelon seed oil also help with itchy scalp and dandruff.

Internal Use: Taking watermelon seed oil internally is great for mucous membranes and heart health. Boosts the immune and nervous system.

Other Uses: Watermelon seed oil has a low viscosity and very little smell. Great for diluting pure essential oils.

Packaged: 8 fl oz (227 ml) bottle. Also available in a 1 fl oz (30 ml) bottle.
