Description: Calamus, a perennial, marshy plant, is native to northern Europe and Asia. The root has been used in herbal medicine for treatment of nervous anxiety, vertigo, headaches and migraines, panic attacks, epilepsy, shock, and dysentery.

Calamus root essential oil has purifying properties, muscle relaxing properties and can help aid circulation issues. It has been traditionally used as a pain reliever and can be a natural remedy to help relieve headaches.

A refreshing scent that is reminiscent of cinnamon. Calamus root essential oil is yellow or yellowish brown and has a fairly thin consistency.

Blends well with ylang ylang, patchouli, lavender, clary sage, rosemary, cedarwood, tea Tree, and cinnamon essential oils.

Dilute with carrier oil for direct skin contact.

Extracted through steam distillation of root. Originates from India.
